Whale city shadow

This is like the fifth whale city piece I’ve done, but this is the first city inspired by Mont St. Michel, and the first shadowbox. I don’t know why I’m so obsessed with whales you can live on, but it’s a pretty great idea, if you think about it.

This is also the first piece I’ve maybe ever done where all of the layers weren’t independently connected to the edges of the frame- before the shadowboxes I never even taped pieces together. Kind of feels like cheating a little to do it this way, which is a little silly.

Anyway, this piece will soon be available at the Southern Art & Makers Collective, but if you’re interested in it and you’re not in Montgomery, contact me!
