Weird eyes at the Springfield Museums

My friend Deborah and I decided to take a trip to the Springfield museums while her cat was emasculated. I had remembered seeing a giant ammonite fossil there, but to my dismay it was gone. What I hadn’t remembered about the Springfield museums was that they- or the natural history portion of them, at least- were hilariously terrible. The most hilarious part of this was a mural showing the evolution of animals where every animal shown had amazingly crazy eyes.

(The Springfield museum also has a large collection of taxidermied animals, but they are disappointingly lacking in hilarity.)
